Blogging for the tbdworkbench site is an exercise I enjoy but one that is at the bottom of my digital to-do list. It’s generally the first victim to time crunches during a busy spell. It’s not that I haven’t been blogging this winter either. BigFlakes has seen a few posts as the winter has slowly unfolded and I’ve also written a few design specific posts for the Daylight site. This blog has lay fallow until now but the design ideas never stop flowing.
As a strong communicator, I have come to recognize my skills in the design review process. A large part of a designer’s job is to Illustrate to the client a project’s results after each phase. We work within a process to develop an artistic solution based upon reason. As we move through the process, feedback is needed to tailor the design to the client’s problem. How well we present our ideas has a direct connection to how successful the final design will be.
Design reviews are a very important aspect of any project. I go into detail here on the Daylight blog about the design review process.
