Mentorship
I joined Driveway as a founding product designer and helped grow the design team from the ground up. As the team scaled, I moved from Lead to Principal Designer, focusing on maturing our practice through better consistency and strategy. This role allowed me to lead foundational initiatives, such as standardizing our product’s grid system to align our various design teams.

Figma Hygiene Initiative
As the team grew to 35 designers, inconsistent Figma organization began to hinder visibility. I partnered with Principal Designer Derek Shirk to research internal workflows and identify best practices. We developed a comprehensive standards guide and a custom component toolkit to drive consistency and efficiency in file management across all teams.

Developing Critique Culture
To improve collaboration and increase design's influence on product outcomes, I partnered with Derek Shirk to launch a formal critique platform. We established a regular cadence for these sessions, providing a dedicated space for teams to share in-progress work and receive peer feedback.

Custom Process Chart
Stuck in the cross hairs of a new design director looking to understand and document our cross-functional workflow, I mediated feedback from managers and directors across design, product management, and engineering, to build the below product development lifecycle charts for the business to align around.

Global Navigation North Star
I was tasked by the design director to create a collaborative design project and plan ahead for how we could improve our imperfect site navigation. This resulted is a long term group project I ran and designed for, delivering all the staples of UX design; audits, customer research, wireframing, content strategy, prototyping, and a high-fidelity visual to build towards.

Principal Designer Service Menu
The Principal Designer role was new to Driveway. I designed this menu to help designers learn how to leverage the role and take advantage of new support the business was providing their work.
